Why can’t Texas and California and Arizona or Illinois get their own national team, I know I will get a lot of stupid responses talking about America is a country not the states but think about it, England is part of Great britain and it has one, the European countries are part of their European Union they have their own, just my thought. It’s kind of a stupid, crazy i admit but think about it!

Cuz soccer is not that big of a deal in America. We have American Football, Basketball, Hockey, Baseball…….
There are some professional soccer teams, but none have a very big following, because frankly, no one really cares about soccer.
lol!
In Texas soccer is unAmerican.
because Americans are into a game called “football” which really should be called “handegg”
Because the USA is a country and as such the USA football (soccer) Association is a member of FIFA. Texas and California are under the umbrella of the USA, they are not individual members of FIFA. England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland each have their own national Football Associations and each are individual members of FIFA unlike Texas and California.
@ChoDuffi. England, Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales are different nations. Try calling a Scotsman an Englishman and see where that gets you, probably a trip to the hospital.
FIFA acknowledge England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland as individual countries, they don’t acknowledge Texas or California as countries. So without FIFA approval you can’t have a national team, no matter how hard the USSF try to argue.
By the way, when something is blue you have to explain why it’s blue to an American.
Nice answer Gazza. You wrote a lot to point out that something is blue because it is blue.
England, Whales, etc pretend to be separate nations. The United States don’t pretend to different nations. I’m sure IF USSF wanted to try and break up to have individual state associations they could make a decent argument for it, but I don’t think they’d ever want to do that. It’s hard enough for them to compete as is.
What I’ve always thought would be nice is if each State organization had their own State team who played in a USSF State Championship at the professional level. The problem would be getting the games fit in on the domestic and international schedules.
One big reason, Texas and California and Arizona are not nations they are states.
