After a long maternity leave, I am returning to work on mid-December. In the past, we’ve had very positive experiences with daycare centers but the prices are going up now that we have more children and we are discussing the possibility of hiring a nanny, not because it would be cheaper from the get-go, but the rates could (we imagine) be close to being the same and, given our current situation, it seems like the practical thing to do.
We have no experience with nannies and I am not sure of how to establish a fair and reasonable salary. We are a big family and our hypothetical nanny would have to care for a seven month old, a three month old and other four children between the ages of five and eight. Honestly, who better than the parents to know how much work it is? We want to be very reasonable and give her a good salary.
The way we imagine things, she would work four days a week from eight thirty to four. No housework or cooking is expected but busing with the children to soccer, ballet and karate will be part of the drill.
How do you calculate a rate for a nanny in general? And, if you have experience as a nanny, how much would you expect from a family like ours? Should we offer a monthly or weekly payment?
*thanks ahead to everyone or anyone who will simply suggest for me to stay home and will question why did I have children if I am going to have someone else raise them. I have been enlightened :)

Daily Mail reports that Alex Ferguson should make an ultimate proposal with Wesley Sneidjer. Persuaded that the leader of play wants to leave Milan since he learned his absence with the drive “for personal reasons”, Friday and Saturday, Sir Alex should re-examine his salary proposal with the rise. An offer however far from the 200.000 weekly magazines claimed by Sneijder at the beginning of negotiations.

I’m actually very disturbed by the fact that a handful of teams dominate all of Europe and the leagues. In the Premier League the bottom half of the table look like third division teams that don’t stand a chance. It’s always the same teams throughout Europe contending for the title. It’s actually not even close.
Should their be a salary cap that would not allow investors to go in and BUY their teams a title? I think it would lead to a much more competitive league and more skill when it comes to the acquisition of players. It would destroy the practices of teams like Chelsea, United, Real Madrid and lead to a more competitive leagues again.
Please don’t tell me about the French or German league. Those teams don’t play a role in Europe because they operate with less money. Eastern European teams have been destroyed entirely because of this. No team from there has won the CL league in 20 years.

Who is advocating to remove the salary cap and why? Clearly the salary cap makes the sport fair and prevents rich cities like new york from buying up all the good players. Do these people really want to ruin football just so they can make a few more million?
