I do video game videos which is a fairly popular community on YouTube. I have all the stuff to make a good channel (HD PVR, BLUE SNOWBALL, HD TV) But what will get me the views and subscribers? I have 46 subs and 1,846 video views. I’ve had this channel since February and its been slow getting subs. So tell me your feed back and check out my channel YouTube.com/koolbreezy23 thanks
I’m on the market for a new laptop and has really been struck with the Ultrabook form factor. And I need suggestions what to buy.
Here’s what I’m looking for:
CPU: Sandy/Ivy Bridge (Core i3 is enough)
RAM: 4GB minimal, but I’ll take 2GB if it’s easy to upgrade.
GPU: GT550M/GT630M/HD6650M/HD7670M for $600 price point OR GT640M-level for $800 price point.
HDD/SSD: Does not matter.
Optical Drive: Not necessary.
Screen: Preferably 13.3″. I would go for 14″ also. And would go for 15.6″ if there are no other option. Matte/glossy does not matter.
Resolution: 1366×768 is enough.
Thickness: Preferrably 0.8mm or thinner.
Weight: Under 2kg.
Material: Preferrably aluminium, but wouldn’t mind plastic.
Keyboard: Island-style (chicklet). Backlighting is a plus.
Battery life: Minimum 6 hours for web browsing, preferably 8-9 hours.
Games I’m looking to play: FIFA 13 on medium-high and 60fps, SWTOR on medium, Football Manager 13 on medium-database/high 3D, and probably newish FPS or adventures (Batman Arkham City and Skyrim comes to mind) on medium and 30+fps.
I’m in love with Asus U36SD for $650, it’s thin, 13.3″, 8 hours battery, Core i3 Sandy Bridge, but only GT520M. Might not be powerful enough for online FIFA 13.
And I’m intrigued with HP Envy 4 Ultrabook for $850, Core i5 Sandy, SSD-cache, thin, okay battery life (4-5 hours), looks REALLY cool, but only HD7670M.
I’m also pondering on last year’s Acer TimelineX 4830G for $600, 14″ with 7 hours battery, Core i3 Sandy, GT540M, but it’s a tad thicker and looks really dated with its arrays of legacy ports and excessive cooling vents.
What seems almost perfect are the Acer TimelineU M5 and M3, both goes for $900 Both have similar specs with GT640M and 6-7 hours battery, both are officially Ultrabooks, M5 has 14″ screen and Core i5 Ivy, while M3 has 15.6″ screen and Core i5 Sandy and has a numpad. But looks a bit dated, kinda thick and heavy for Ultrabooks. And they’re outside of my budget.
So, please shoot some suggestions
