I don’t see why people hate him, yes he had a bad last season at Chelsea, but come on. Won the UEFA champions league for chelsea, euro golden boot, golden boot at the confed, (scored 4 goals against tahiti). Yes he had a hard time against Brazil but who wouldn’t have a hard time surrounded by all those studs? Get it? Lol!
Torres will always be one of my favorite strikers, he just has a certain style to him no one will ever be able to reproduce.

This Neymar was already diving/playacting against Mexico. But what he pulled off against Uruguay was a complete disgrace. One of his dives what the most pathetic dive I have probably seen in years. I know refs are supposed to dish out yellow cards for that stuff, but they almost never do. He also took forever to leave the pitch against Uruguay and took 1 entire minute to get off. Of course the ref did not take that into consideration and didn’t show him a yellow for that either. So here’s my question:
Why don’t they ever do anything about that? Like determining after the game, which player flopped and banning him for 2 games? At least in the NBA they’re getting sick of flopping, but in soccer it’s 100 times worse. And this Neymar guy is a complete disgrace. Every single time he’s about to lose the ball he just flops and the ref awards him a free kick.

Nowadays, it seems trophies make the world go round in world football. It seems like its much more important now than it was back then. Back in the old days, managers of top clubs were given time to build teams. They weren’t sacked for failing to win a trophy for a season. There was much more stability back then than today. Also, it seems that comparing clubs today is based on season performance, silverware, and points in the league rather than head to head results due to the fact that head to head results do not always change the final product that is silverware. A team can be considered better and stronger than another team despite a negative head to head record if that team simply has more silverware. A perfect example of this would be man utd and Real Madrid. As of this season, ive heard several analysts say how utd are miles ahead of real madrid. The 2-1 controversial loss of man utd to madrid did not stop utd from setting the premier league on fire and becoming champ20ns. It also didnt change the fact that madrid came up with the grand total of 0 trophies this season. The 2-1 loss is insignificant when u compare both teams because there is no way madrid are stronger than utd. They had 0 trophies this season while man utd became champ20ns and set the epl ablaze whilst having more points and wins domestically than madrid. I think this is a clear example on how important silverware and statistics are nowadays. Man utd>Madrid. Champ20ns>0 trophies. 89 pts>85 pts
Another example of,the importance of silverware today is how ruthless and merciless team owners have become when it comes to their team winning trophies. Roman abramovich sacked the coach who gave his club their first champions league trophy ever due to the fact that he did not deliver in winning silverware such as the uefa super cup, community shield, and failing to progress to the knockout rounds of the champions league. The loss to Juve meant that chelsea would likely be out,of the CL and that was the nail in the coffin for di Matteo. RDM isn’t the only victim of this. This also happened to mourinho at madrid. It became clear that Real Madrid were a huge dissapointment this season due to major controversy in the dressing room and the trophy less season. Mou was given his marching orders due to this. Another example of a manager being sacked cuz of lack of silverware is mancini. Man city, like Real Madrid, had a trophy less season they would like to,forget. Mancini, who ended 44 year trophy drift of man city, was axed cuz he failed to win anything this season and the statistics showed a major drop from last years title winning season.
So, is this the most trophy hungry and statistically dependent generation in world football so far?

If any of that makes sense..
I’ve lost 2-1 once and these were the stats (i think)
Opposition: 3 Shots, 2 On Target, 42% Possession, 72% Pass.
Me: 19 Shots, 14 On Target, 58% Possession, 87% Pass
They just did a Chelsea. I Remember well because it was yesterday
