Only if Chelsea get Mr.Europa league, Falcao.
@señor Jose, Falcao won’t join Chelsea if they loose Saturday. Only way he’ll leave Atletico is if a top world class team participating in next season’s Champions League makes a bid for him. He’s done and tired of playing the Europa League, he wants a new challenge. And at the question, Inter or Atletico (If they have Falcao) have a better chance of winning.
They may well be considered favourites but I doubt they will win it- the supposive strongest sides never do. Manchester United and Manchester City played strong teams in the Europa League this season but got knocked out relatively early. Tottenham didn’t get too far either because they wanted to concentrate on their league form (would Chelsea not do the same?). Liverpool also got knocked out the competition on the back of finishing 2nd in the league the previous season while Fulham made the final. AC Milan also got knocked out of the competition relatively early that season.
The finalists always seem to be from the likes of Russia or Spain, Russia’s teams have more to prove to the rest of the world after huge investments and outside of Real or Barca Spanish teams seem to care more about the trophy than the English teams do- as there is such a huge divide between those two and the rest of the teams in their league.
In short- yes but history shows that they won’t necessarily win it & it won’t be on your top list of priorities.
Maybe they will not give their 100% to Europa League, but focus on EPL to make it to the top4
