compared to high school etc? how do you balance a social life and still do the work?? i will be going to community college (college of the sequoias in CA) will i be able to play football if i didn’t in high school? i couldn’t play for various reasons but now i am in shape and full of energy. help a brother out.

It’s a legitimate question. It also depends considerably on what degree program you’re doing.
Some courses are very hard work and require long contact hours and long study hours out of college as well. Some are much lighter and still give you plenty of time for other things.
It is not impossible to balance college work and a decent social life; even people in quite intense degrees can still get out and socialise. The main thing is recognising how much work you have to do and working around that. Your total workload can also vary a bit throughout the year- early in semester there might not be much going on; near exam time there will be.
Also, it does depend on how well you want to do. Most courses are pretty easy to pass; getting a distinction average is harder.
